The site is located in the North Fair Oaks district of unincorporated San Mateo County and within the Redwood City sphere of influence. The site is within a highly walkable area of the North Fair Oaks district and approximately 1.5 miles from the existing Caltrain station and less than 1/8 mile from a regional bus stop with less than 20-minute headways. In addition, Costco, Target, and other retailers are less than ½ mile from the site. The building is designed to serve households ranging from 15% to 60% AMI income levels, with 18 units set aside for adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) and 18 units set aside for PSH residents who meet the HUD definition for homeless, the remaining 40 units are restricted to households at 60% AMI. St. Stephens affordable homes are a result of an innovative collaboration between the faith-based community, local advocates, public agencies, and private partners to address the high costs of living for seniors with fixed incomes.
