Based in NDC’s Walnut Creek office, Iman is responsible for all new development, consulting & brokerage activities.
Iman has over 20 years of experience in the multifamily development sector with a focus in mixed-income and transit-oriented development. Prior to starting Novin Development, Iman worked at MidPen Housing as Director of Acquisitions and at BRIDGE Housing as a Project Manager in both northern and southern California.
While at MidPen, Iman lead acquisition efforts across the Bay Area, closing new deals and managing broker and investor relationships. While at BRIDGE, Iman helped secure entitlements and LEED ND certification for MacArthur Transit Village, a 675-unit master plan community in Oakland among other successful investment and development projects. Prior to BRIDGE, Iman worked in the real estate and planning divisions of Centre City Development Corporation (CCDC, now Civic San Diego) on redevelopment and affordable housing policy initiatives within the Downtown San Diego Redevelopment Project Area, as well as with Keyser Marston Associates (KMA) in their San Diego office.
Iman is active locally serving on the Walnut Creek Planning Commission and Board of Directors of the Trinity Center and Chamber of Commerce. Iman also serves on the Contra Costa County Council on Homelessness as the Affordable Housing Chair. Iman is on the boards of various non-profit service providers, housing advocacy organizations and emerging developers including Berkeley Food and Housing, SF Yimby and Santa Cruz Veterans Memorial Building Board of Trustees. As an elected CADEM delegate in Assembly District 16, Iman endorses legislation and pro-housing candidates at the State level. Iman holds degrees in Structural Engineering and Urban Studies and Planning from the University of California, San Diego with honors. In his free time Iman enjoys spending time with his family, mountain biking, cooking, learning to play the sitar, snowboarding and working on his PropTech company ProforMap.com.

Based in Novin's Walnut Creek office, Hiral manages Novin's development accounting team.
Hiral holds over fifteen years of experience as a finance controller and certified auditor in the corporate arena. She impacts the organization through financial planning and analysis, process development and improvements, contract management, contract negotiations, budget planning and control, team building and development, forecasting, quantitative analysis skills, excel modeling, data-driven analysis, and creation of dashboards to improve business processes & performance to maintain operating rhythms. Hiral holds an MBA from the University of New Haven, CT, and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Based in Novin's Walnut Creek office, Ryan is Novin's Vice President of Development.
Ryan brings over twenty-five years of market rate and affordable development, debt and equity financing, asset management, and project management experience to Novin Development. His long tenure in the multifamily housing and affordable housing industries has provided for creative market rate, affordable, and mixed-income projects working with multiple private and public stakeholders.
Ryan helps lead Novin Development’s acquisition and development with a focus on obtaining private and public funding, completing public RFPs and NOFAs, and project management duties. Before joining Novin Development, Ryan worked at Linc Housing as their Director of Acquisitions focusing on affordable acquisition throughout California. Ryan also worked for BRIDGE Housing as their Sr. Acquisitions Manager in the similar acquisition and development capacity. At BRIDGE Housing, Ryan worked on new development opportunities from public and private entities including an RFP award of a 17-acre site in So. San Francisco to develop 1,000+ mixed-use and mixed-income units at the Balboa Reservoir site. Ryan also sourced and closed on an existing 330-unit acq/rehab project in Seattle, WA and 110-unit acq/rehab project in Portland, OR. While working at CCH, Ryan focused on new affordable opportunities including site sourcing, funding applications, and entitling an 80-unit TOD project in the Bay Area and securing approximately $43M of State HCD funding. Ryan also worked on various project management duties while at CCH completing four occupied rehabs and refinances executing FHA 223(f) loans in California and Oregon. On the market rate development and debt & equity finance side, Ryan has worked for Equity Residential, Lincoln Property Company, KeyBank Private Equity, and GMAC Commercial Mortgage having completed successful market rate development projects, arranged debt financing, and JV equity partnerships throughout CA, OR, and WA.
Ryan has completed his Bachelor of Business Administration degree, Real Estate from Georgia State University, Master of Business Administration, Finance from Georgia Southwestern University, Master of Real Estate Development from The University of Arizona, and Master of Urban Planning from San Jose State University. Ryan has earned the CCIM designation and is a licensed Real Estate Broker in California.

Senior Development Manager

Based in Novin's Walnut Creek office, Samarth manages multiple projects across Novin development's pipeline.
Samarth has more than a decade of interdisciplinary experience in architecture, construction, and real estate. He has worked in Asia and North America markets and cumulatively oversaw over 50 million square feet of infill developments, such as multi-family, affordable housing, and offices to large master-planned mixed-use development. In the last 5 years, his work has directly contributed to the development of 800 housing units with another 500 units in pipelines in California. Samarth has vast experience in affordable, multi-family and commercial real estate.
Prior to joining Novin Development, Samarth Kohli worked at Eden Housing, where he worked on multiple mixed-income projects in both Northern and Southern California markets. He managed the projects through the whole development cycle from acquisition till leasing. He was directly involved in delivering close to 300 new units on 4 new ground-up developments and worked on 3 rehabs that included a total of 80 units. Samarth has also worked as an acquisition associate at oWOW, a local market-rate development company in the Bay Area. Here he led acquisitions of multiple sites in Oakland and San Francisco by identifying, analyzing, negotiating terms, financing, and working with capital partners for both acquisition and development deals.
Samarth has a bachelor’s in architecture from Gujarat University, a master’s in real estate from UC Berkeley, and an advanced certificate in innovation management from ICFAI. He also currently sits on the technical advisory board committee of the Northern California Land Trust, a non-profit developer based in Berkeley, advising them on their Berkeley project. Outside of work, Samarth likes to spend his time going on hikes with friends, reading, traveling, and cooking in his free time.

Based in Novin's Walnut Creek office, Matthew assists on Novin development projects.
Matthew is a recent graduate from the University of California, Irvine, where he earned his degree in Urban Studies and Criminology. His academic background, combined with hands-on experience, brings a fresh and insightful perspective to the development team. Matthew’s expertise spans community outreach, administrative support, and data analysis, and his passion for improving urban communities aligns with his past work with nonprofits and government organizations.
In his current role, Matthew provides administrative assistance and supports data management, collaborating closely with both development and financial teams to ensure project goals are met. Prior to joining Novin’s team, Matthew interned with the NICOS Chinese Health Coalition, a nonprofit focused on public health in San Francisco's Chinatown. During his time there, he helped distribute health supplies during the COVID-19 pandemic and supported initiatives aimed at addressing gambling addiction among elderly residents. Matthew also worked with the San Francisco Mayor's Office, where he facilitated educational outreach to high school and college students on sustainable infrastructure. In collaboration with the University of San Francisco and local community gardens, he helped demonstrate the importance of green spaces in urban environments. Additionally, he supervised a student project focused on strategies to reduce vehicle emissions, which was later presented to the San Francisco Mayor's Office of Planning for potential adoption. Matthew’s experiences reflect his commitment to leveraging his skills and knowledge to create positive change in Bay Area communities.

Based in Novin's Walnut Creek office, Jonathan manages Novin's construction team and projects.
Jonathan is a seasoned construction management professional with over a decade of experience leading complex commercial residential projects in the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to joining Novin Construction, Jonathan forged a strong foundation by working for nationally recognized General Contractors, Swinerton Builders and Build Group before making the switch to the Development side and acting as the Owner’s Representative on behalf of Strada Investment Group and CIM Group overseeing large multi-family developments. Most recently, and prior to joining Novin Construction, Jonathan served as Director of Construction at Greystar in San Francisco, overseeing large-scale developments, including the $280M UC Hastings Campus project, which involves the reconstruction of a 14-story, mixed-use student housing high-rise.
Throughout his career Jonathan has consistently demonstrated expertise in managing and delivering multi-million-dollar multi-family projects, with over 1,000 units completed, including
the $200M 1100 Clay Project in Oakland, CA and the $270M One Mission Bay condominium development in San Francisco, CA.
Jonathan holds an MBA from the University of San Francisco and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from California State University Maritime Academy, where they graduated Cum Laude and played varsity basketball. With a strong foundation in both business and engineering, Jonathan brings a strategic approach to every project, ensuring seamless execution and long-term success.

Allison Pease is a seasoned People Operations Manager at Novin Development Corp., bringing over twelve years of professional experience in Human Resources.
Allison is adept at merging strategic HR management with a deep understanding of cultural dynamics. In her role, Allison develops and implements organizational policies, ensures regulatory compliance, administers compensation and benefits, and manages full cycle recruitment. Allison is committed to training and developing talent and enhancing organizational capabilities, aligning with the company's esteemed values of excellence and fostering a positive work culture across all departments.
Allison holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Marist College and enjoys spending her free time hiking and traveling.

Loveleen is a professional with over 3 years of dedicated experience in the accounting field, specializing in both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions. As an Accounts Payable and Receivable specialist, Loveleen has a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end processes, including invoice management, payment reconciliation, and collections. Her ability to foster strong client relationships has been instrumental in improving cash flow management and resolving discrepancies promptly and professionally.
Loveleen's expertise extends to financial analysis and reporting, where she utilizes her analytical expertise to generate detailed and insightful reports. She is well-versed in implementing departmental best accounting practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and promoting continuous process improvement.
